AWKC Practice Policy – Updated November 2023
All drivers must register for Social Karting Activity via portal.karting.net.au & Team App, for everyday they attend for practice. This information must be available for the Social Karting Activity Official to sight along with KA licence in your licence portal on your phone or laptop.
All practice must be held under the control of a minimum Grade 5 Karting Activity Controller (KAC) or any Grade official. If you are not an KAC or in the company of an official, you cannot enter to practice.
KA Social Karting Activity Checklist form must be submitted by the Official of the day, found on poster on outgrid it’s a QR code. This is not negotiable, NO OFFICIAL signed on means NO INSURANCE should an accident happen.
Practice is restricted between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm on any day unless the track is closed for club or other events. All drivers must have current KA licence and comply with all KA rules especially in relation to types of karts used and safety apparel.
Race direction will always be clockwise using the full track as delineated by tyre barriers. No short cuts or cut throughs to be used. Alternate track configurations may only be used the day before an event where this alternate track configuration will be used.
Practice should be limited to 10-minute sessions for each group (i.e., Cadets or Juniors or Seniors)
Mechanical breakdown area may be used during this 10-minute session. It is forbidden to stop on the track for any mechanical adjustments, refuelling or driver instruction
AWKC Non-Members
A $50.00 per day per driver practice fee will apply to non AWKC members this is paid on KOMP at the time of registering for Social Karting. This will not apply if practice is listed on the supplementary regulations for the day/event.
Prior to attending the circuit for practice please call one of the club committee members after registering and paying practice fee on KOMP to get the gate code for circuit access if you are the Karting Activity Controller, this code will not be disclosed to anyone else.
No registration or payment on KOMP no gate code will be provided
