Inter-club Race Days; the innovative, inaugural Brad Jones Challenge!!

Let’s get together and show our support for our regional clubs!

The Brad Jones Challenge is a grassroots inter-club racing event bringing together the Numurkah, Rochester, Albury-Wodonga, Griffith, and Wagga Kart Clubs. It has been developed in response to the ongoing challenge that regional clubs face in attracting strong participation at regular club days.

The event unites clubs with the shared goal of increasing entries, attracting renewed community interest and enhancing the relationship between regional clubs facing similar challenges.

All rounds are scheduled within existing approved club-day calendars. By encouraging members to travel between venues for 2 events in the same weekend, the cost of travel is reduced and the host club benefits from improved numbers without overburdening volunteers and officials.

Drivers benefit from racing at multiple tracks in a club-day environment that bridges the gap between local club racing and major meetings such as the Golden Power Series. This creates a valuable stepping stone for competitors looking to build experience before progressing to larger events.

A unique club-versus-club points system adds another dimension to the races, with the final team tally determining the ultimate Champion Club. This promotes team work, camaraderie, and a strong sense of club pride.

The initiative is proudly supported by Brad Jones, who has a strong connection to grassroots motorsport and the participating clubs.

Ultimately, the Brad Jones Challenge promotes collaboration and participation, to reinvigorate regional karting. Our smaller local clubs need your support and may depend on it for their survival!
