Albury Wodonga Kart Club Shines at Griffith’s Ultimate Club Racer Weekend

Over the weekend of November 1st and 2nd, several of our club members made the trip to Griffith to compete at the Griffith Kart Club for the Karting Australia Ultimate Club Racer event — a highlight on the National Calendar.

Each driver represented the Albury Wodonga Kart Club with outstanding passion, commitment, and sportsmanship, making us incredibly proud.

Matt Chaston dominated the TAG Restricted Light category, delivering a flawless performance and securing a clean sweep with First Place. He didn’t put a foot wrong all weekend.

Koa Patten competed in Cadet 12 and showed consistent strength throughout the weekend, finishing Second in the final. He stole the show during the podium champagne spray — clearly channelling his inner F1 driver!

Merik Nesbitt raced in the highly competitive KA3 Junior Light class. When it mattered most in the final, Merik pulled it all together and crossed the line in Third Place — celebrating his podium finish with a Shoey alongside his fellow competitors (🤮).

The Griffith Kart Club hosted a fantastic event, complete with an Italian dinner on Saturday night that added to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The Ultimate Club Racer is a brilliant opportunity to explore new tracks, meet fellow racers, and enjoy competitive karting in a relaxed and friendly environment.
